The SDTS-1022 from Sax Dakota

Give It to Us Straight

While we’re talking about saxophone history, it’s worth noting that Sax Dakota just released something the world hasn’t seen many examples of in more than 100 years: a straight tenor sax. The SDTS-1022 may look old-fashioned with its oversized rose brass bell and mother-of-pearl keys, but make no mistake: It sounds thoroughly modern, as the straightness of the tube lends itself to fresh tonal nuances. And the gray onyx finish is a nice touch for sure.
