Phantom of the Wireless

Most wireless systems come as a package, with a selection of (usually dynamic) mics mated to specific transmitters. In contrast, the Xvive Audio U3C is designed to work with any condenser mic with an XLR connection. Its transmitter provides +12V or +48V phantom power and feeds the matching receiver over the 2.4GHz wireless band approved for use in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia. The company says the low-latency transmitter boasts 20Hz–20kHz frequency response, sends signal up to 90 feet, and can go three to seven hours between battery changes. A model for dynamic mics is also available for about $20 less. See more details at Sweetwater.com
