A Little Sax

Spanish startup Odisei is calling its Travel Sax “the smallest and lightest electronic saxophone on the market.” Musician and former HP employee Ramon Mañas developed the sax with Kickstarter funding and used advanced 3D printing technology from his old company to make a very compact design. Despite its size, the Travel Sax boasts a three-octave range and, in addition to its own sound-generating app, offers low-latency MIDI output. Price for U.S. customers is expected to be in the range of $550.

Emile Menasché

Musician, journalist, and author Emile Menasché has composed soundtracks for Oscar- and Emmy-nominated documentaries. He is jealous that his dog Hudson gets more attention from passersby whenever they’re seen in public together.
