Over the past dozen years, pianist-composer Leslie Pintchik has forged an intimate chemistry with bassist Scott Hardy and drummer Matt Dodge. The trio’s third CD together, augmented by percussionist Satoshi Takeishi, a superb colorist, highlights the band’s uncanny empathy on artful covers of Bob Dylan’s “Blowin’ in the Wind,” the soulful Bonnie Raitt tune “I Can’t Make You Love Me” and the poignant standard “For All We Know.” Those interpretations coexist with appealing Pintchik originals like the lightly swinging “There You Go,” the delicate “Completely” and the slow, bluesy “In the Wrong Place at the Right Time.”
