Trist Curless, a vocalist who in the past occasionally subbed for Manhattan Transfer founder Tim Hauser before the latter’s death last year, has now been named an official member of the quartet, which also consists of Alan Paul, Janis Siegel and Cheryl Bentyne.

Trist co-founded the pop-jazz vocal group M-Pact, with whom he has performed in festivals and concert halls around the world. He’s also written, arranged, and produced many of the group’s songs. Trist also works as an audio engineer for several vocal groups and bands, including Pentatonix, Straight No Chaser, and Take 6.
