Toronto Radio Station Launches Instrument Drive

Listeners can drop instruments off at two locations

Toronto radio station JAZZ.FM91 has launched its inaugural “Holiday Heroes Instrument Drive.” According to a press release, the campaign, conducted in partnership with Long & McQuade, “calls on listeners to serve as a ‘holiday hero’ and donate their gently loved instruments to the Regent Park School of Music, who have recently moved and finds itself in need of instruments.”

Instruments can be dropped off at JAZZ.FM91 or at the Long & McQuade Bloor Street location. The drive ends December 21st.

Founded in 1999, RPSM provides high quality, affordable (subsidized) music education to youth-in-need in Regent Park and other high priority areas in the City of Toronto including Parkdale, Jane & Finch, and Lawrence Heights.

Regent Park School of Music is looking for:

– Brass

– Woodwind

– Handbells

– Electronic keyboards

– Percussion instruments (but not drums)

– They do not require any more pianos at this time
