Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 Plans Major U.S. Tour

African band plans club, theater and festival dates

Seun Kuti and Egypt 80 will embark this spring on a lengthy U.S. tour, taking in 30-plus dates across the breadth and width of the U.S., with shows in the clubs, theaters, performing arts centers and the spring’s biggest festivals: SXSW, Coachella, New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Fest, Houston IFest, International Festival of Louisiana, Lake Eden Arts Festival and many more. Kuti, who released his latest album From Africa With Fury: Rise, last year, is the son of the late Afrobeat founder Fela Kuti.
