Jeff Antoniuk and the Jazz Update will perform the music of Charles Mingus, Thelonious Monk and John Coltrane in Washington, D.C., on May 31 from 6-9 p.m. The concert is part of a popular jazz series called Jazz Night in Southwest and takes place at Westminster Church at 401-I Street in Southwest.

The quartet consists of university music professors: Bassist Tom Baldwin teaches at University of Maryland, drummer Tony Martucci at Virginia Commonwealth University and pianist Wade Beach teaches at George Mason. Antoniuk is artistic director of adult jazz education program inDepth Jazz and Maryland Summer Jazz.
