Dominican Republic Jazz Festival Scheduled for Oct. 31-Nov. 3

Bernie Williams, Rufus Reid, George Garzone and others to appear

The 17th annual Dominican Republic Jazz Festival will take place Oct. 31-Nov. 3 in the towns of Puerto Plata, Sosúa and Cabarete in the Dominican Republic. The longest-running jazz event in the country, the multi-day free festival combines culture, entertainment and music education, while featuring some of the world’s best Latin jazz groups and musicians.

Among the artists scheduled to appear this year are Bernie Williams (USA), Abraham Laboriel Sr. (Mexico), Marco Pignataro (Italy), Ramón Vázquez (Puerto Rico), Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez (Cuba), Rufus Reid (USA), George Garzone (USA), Billy Drummond (USA), Alex Acuña (Peru), Richie Flores (Puerto Rico), and the Latin Grammy Award winners Johnny Ventura (Dominican Republic) and Milly Quezada (Dominican Republic).
