The Django Reinhardt Festival will return to New York City’s Birdland from Nov. 5-10. The event, produced by Pat Philips and Ettore Stratta, features Django look-alike gypsy guitarist Dorado Schmitt, who first performed in the U.S. in 2002. He will be joined by Ludovic Beier on accordion and accordina, Pierre Blanchard on violin with Francko Mehrstein on rhythm guitar and Brian Torff on bass, plus Dorado’s sons Amati and Bronson Schmitt.
