Darcy James Argue’s Secret Society will head into the recording studio the first week of February to record their third album, Real Enemies, out this fall on New Amsterdam Records. The new work follows the 18-piece band’s Infernal Machines (2009) and Brooklyn Babylon (2013).

The group will preview selections from the album during four performances on January 29-30 as part of the Jazz Gallery’s 20th anniversary concert series in New York City. The set will also feature other recent and unrecorded works.

The multimedia version of Real Enemies premiered during the Brooklyn Academy of Music’s 2015 Next Wave Festival. The Jazz Gallery performances will not feature any multimedia. The Jazz Gallery is located at 1160 Broadway, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10001. For tickets visit Jazz Gallery
