Darcy James Argue Announces New U.S. & European Tour Dates

Bandleader/composer Darcy James Argue has announced new U.S. and European shows with Secret Society, his 18-piece ensemble. They’ll appear on May 10 at ShapeShifter Lab in Brooklyn, on July 8 at the Jazz Standard in Midtown Manhattan, and on August 1 at the Newport Jazz Festival. These dates will be interspersed by a string of Canadian and European shows-the full list of tour dates is below.

Additionally, Argue has been co-commissioned by the Vancouver-based Hard Rubber Orchestra and the Newport Jazz Festival to create a new 30-minute extended work, which will be premiered by the HRO during their June 20 double-bill with Secret Society at the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. Secret Society will present the work’s U.S. premiere at the Newport Jazz Festival on August 1.
