Brad Mehldau Trio to Release ‘Where Do You Start’ Sept. 18

Pianist’s new album features 10 covers, one original

The Brad Mehldau Trio’s Where Do You Start, a companion disc to this spring’s Ode, will be released on Sept. 18. Whereas Ode featured 11 songs composed by Mehldau, Where Do You Start comprises the Trio’s interpretations of 10 tunes by other composers, along with one Mehldau original (track list is below).

The Brad Mehldau Trio is Mehldau on piano, Larry Grenadier on bass and Jeff Ballard on drums. Mehldau will also perform two solo shows at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Allen Room on October 5 and 6.
