Blue Note Records plans to release 11 new albums and five reissues in the fall.
Reissues include Count Basie’s Breakfast Dance and Barbecue, Johnny Smith’s The Sound of Johnny Smith, Sarah Vaughan’s Sweet & Sassy, Joe Williams and Harry Edison’s Together and the five-disc set, The Complete Peggy Lee & June Christy Capitol Transcription Sessions.

Blue Note also has musicians in the studio including jazz-funk group Soulive, pianist Bill Charlap (with Tony Bennett, Shirley Horn and Jim Hall), singer Bobby McFerrin (with pianist Chick Corea, bassist Richard Bona and drummer Omar Hakim), guitarist Ronny Jordan and vibist Stefon Harris, who is putting finishing touches on an 11-movement jazz suite called The Grand Unification Theory.
