40th Jazz Record Collectors’ Bash Set for June 27-28

Rare videos to be shown each day

The 40th annual Jazz Record Collectors’ Bash will take place June 27-28 at the Hilton Woodbridge, 120 Wood Avenue South, Iselin, NJ 08830.

General admission of $20.00 covers two days. After 5:00 p.m. Friday (including Saturday reentry) and all day Saturday admission is $10.00. Early buyers will be admitted Thursday evening after 7:30 pm for $40.00. Doors open 8:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Rare vintage videos will be each day. Admission is free with Bash admission or $5 for each film show only. On Friday, at 8:00 p.m., jazz collector and film historian David Weiner will present two hours of rare film and TV clips.

On Saturday, Ron Hutchinson, co-founder of the Vitaphone Project, will present a largely previously unseen collection of early sound jazz and vaudeville short subjects. The first of shows takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the second show begins at 8:00 p.m.
