Despite the efforts of numerous virtuosos, the French horn has long been one of jazz’s more neglected instruments. But maybe the XO Professional 1650 Double Horn will cause someone to change that. In development for more than a decade, the 1650 is XO’s first French horn. Designed with a Geyer wrap, it features a one-piece leadpipe and a continuous F side tube crafted from a 3D bending technique that facilitates an even response.
