Convening an esteemed assortment of their fellow Paul Motian associates, guitarist Jakob Bro and saxophonist Joe Lovano make their co-led debut with a salute to the late drummer/composer. Moody and, at times, melodious, the predominantly original program takes cues from the honoree’s fluid mindset while acknowledging his penchant for unusual configurations with a septet boasting three bassists and two drummers.
