Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild (MCG), a Pittsburgh-based arts and education organization, will present two free jazz concerts as part of its MCG Jazz summer programming.
On Friday, July 7, Allegheny County South Park Ampitheatre will host concerts by organist Joey DeFrancesco and The People (saxophonist Troy Roberts, guitarist Dan Wilson and drummer Jason Brown) and vocalist Catherine Russell accompanied by pianist Mark Shane, bassist Tal Ronen and drummer Jerome Jennings. Performances start at 7:30 p.m.
On Sunday, August 13, Larry Carlton with special guests Don Aliquo Sr. & Jr. will perform at Hartwood Acres Park Ampitheatre, with the concert starting at 7:30 p.m.
