The 92nd Street Y on New York’s Upper East Side will host its 36th Jazz in July Festival this summer. Under the artistic direction of Grammy Award-winning pianist Bill Charlap, a diverse range of artists will take the stage—each for one night only—from Tuesday, July 21 through Thursday, July 30.

Among the highlights: singer Ann Hampton Callaway and saxophonist Lew Tabackin (making his first Jazz in July appearance) will lead a tribute to the songs of Lerner and Loewe; vocalist Veronica Swift, voted Best New Artist in JazzTimes‘ 2019 Readers’ Poll, will take on the music of Dave Brubeck and Gerry Mulligan; NEA Jazz Master Dee Dee Bridgewater will sing with Charlap’s regular trio; and a very special sextet of Charlap, saxophonist Joe Lovano, trumpeter Jon Faddis, trumpeter Anat Cohen, bassist John Patitucci, and drummer Lewis Nash will close the festival in grand fashion.
