Jazz Bridge Organization to Hold Annual Gala in Philadelphia

Event benefits organization dedicated to help Philadelphia jazz and blues musicians in crisis

The Jazz Bridge organization, which supports Philadelphia-based jazz and blues musicians in need, celebrates its 14th anniversary with a gala on June 3 at the Independent Seaport Museum Ballroom and Terrace in Philadelphia. The event’s honorary chairman is the former mayor of Philadelphia, Michael Nutter, and its honorary musician advocate is singer Michelle Lordi. Trumpeter Duane Eubanks, from one of Philadelphia’s most famous musical families, and his quartet will provide the music.

Jazz Bridge will give its “Jazz Ambassador” award to E.C. Bradley, the longtime owner of the Candlelight Lounge in Trenton, N.J.  Mark Christman of Ars Nova Workshop will receive the “Making a Difference” award for his efforts at presenting jazz and experimental music at various venues throughout the city.
