
On Monday, March 26, an all-star assemblage of John Abercrombie’s collaborators, friends and admirers will perform a concert in tribute to the late guitarist in Brooklyn. Held at the performing-arts venue Roulette, the show will feature drummers Jack DeJohnette, Joey Baron and Adam Nussbaum; guitarists Nels Cline, Bill Frisell, Ralph Towner and John Scofield; pianist Marc Copland; violinist Mark Feldman; bassists Drew Gress, Marc Johnson and Thomas Morgan; saxophonist Joe Lovano; and organist Gary Versace, plus special guests not yet announced.
Abercrombie, one of the most important and influential guitarists in jazz history, died of heart failure in August. He was 72.
