Bill Frisell, in his role as curator of Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Roots of Americana series, will perform “When You Wish Upon a Star: Music From Film and Television,” the second of three concerts in the Roots of Americana series during the 2014-15 season. The concerts take place on January 16 and 17 at 7 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. in the Appel Room at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Frederick P. Rose Hall, Broadway at 60th Street, New York, New York. Frisell’s band for the performances will be violist Eyvind Kang, bassist Thomas Morgan, drummer Rudy Royston and singer/violinist Petra Haden.
Frisell and his musicians are expected to perform material such as “When You Wish Upon a Star,” “Alfie” and “Moon River.” Each performance will be webcast live on jazz.org/live.
