The Made in New York Jazz Festival returns for its sixth and seventh editions during two consecutive weekends in June (June 17-19 and June 24-26) at various locations in the Balkan nation of Montenegro, on the Adriatic Sea. The festival, like many events during the pandemic, was forced to cancel its 2021 shows. Curated by founder Michael Brovkine, this year’s festival will feature performances by Stanley Jordan, John Lee, Lezlie Harrison, Jesus Molina, Darrell Green, Vince Ector, Cyrus Chestnut, Yaacov Mayman, Allan Harris, Freddie Hendrix, Russell Hall, Camille Thurman, and Benny Benack III, as well as artists from Germany, Montenegro, Serbia, and other countries. The festival also includes free master classes and outdoor street performances.
