Produced by the non-profit Earshot Jazz organization, the Earshot Jazz Festival includes 40 events across 30 days. Although it features nationally and internationally renowned artists, its emphasis remains on local jazz talents with performances, commissioned premieres, and special projects.

The 2022 artist in residence is saxophonist, tap dancer, composer, and educator Alex Dugdale, who will premiere new works for both big band and small ensembles, including a new commission.
