Back in the spring, the organizers of the DC Jazz Festival (DCJF) were forced by COVID-19 to change their usual plans for a June event. Unlike many other festivals, however, DCJF didn’t cancel 2020 activities outright; instead they hooked up with Live from Our Living Rooms during June and held fast to their promise that they would reschedule the festival in the fall. Now that rescheduling has become a reality, though not the in-person reality for which they (and many others) had hoped.

The 16th annual edition of the DC Jazz Festival will, for the first time, stream live from Washington, D.C., beginning on September 24 and continuing through September 28. All performances will be free to watch on either Gather by EventsDC or Fans.com

The current festival lineup, featuring a mix of international players and local talent, is below.
