Troy “Trombone Shorty” Andrews and Orleans Avenue-Joey Peebles-drums, Michael “Bass” Ballard-bass, Pete Murano-guitar, Tim McFatter-sax and Dan Oestreicher-baritone sax-competed with the roar of the Atlantic Ocean and won to close out the 2014 concert season at the ocean front Neptune Park. Bringing their unique blend of New Orleans funk (looked like Troy is channeling James Brown’s footwork), jazz, blues, rock, Andrews and the band delivered a heavy dose of lagniappe to their Virginia Beach fans.
