On Sept. 25, the third annual New York Hot Jazz Festival took place at the McKittrick Hotel in New York City, featuring performances by Cécile McLorin Salvant with Aaron Diehl, Wycliffe Gordon & Friends, Sasha Masakowski’s Sidewalk Strutters, the Xylopholks and many others on three different stages.
Showcasing traditional jazz from New Orleans hot jazz to big-band swing and Manouche jazz and ragtime, the festival, directed by Michael Katsobashvili and Jennie Wasserman, also featured performances by the Frank Vignola Trio with Nicki Parrott and Vinny Raniolo and the Ghost Train Orchestra.
