Drawing influence from writers like Joe Henderson, Herbie Hancock and Grant Green, The Inner Circle is a multifaceted and fresh-sounding jazz quartet that pushes beyond genre barriers.

Comprised of student musicians from the San Jose area, the group initially met as a weekly reading group and eventually broadened their scope to include their own arrangements and compositions. Whether interpreting classics or presenting their own works, the group’s members aim to develop their voices in the setting of a small jazz ensemble.
