Steve Sandberg Trio at Soapbox Gallery

Three-time Emmy-nominated pianist/composer Steve Sandberg will perform two live-streamed concerts in early 2021 from Brooklyn’s Soapbox Gallery. Sandberg’s concerts will mix performances from the solo piano repertoire (Chopin, Ravel, Bartok, Liszt) with his trio’s (bassist Michael O’Brien and drummer Rudy Royston) expansive improvisations drawing from Latin, African, Balkan, and East Indian traditions. The concerts are January 30th and March 13th at 8:00PM. Sandberg is a highly regarded player whose career includes the Rei Momo tour with David Byrne, as well as engagements with Celia Cruz and other giants of Latin jazz.
