A native of Los Angeles, the Juilliard trained and Grammy® nominated drummer Sammy Miller has been hailed “the perfect player scholar” (The Wall Street Journal). From Jazz at Lincoln Center to The White House, The Newport Jazz Festival to Umbria Jazz, with legends like Wynton Marsalis and Bill Irwin (MacArthur Genius Winner 1984), The Congregation has brought a new perspective of jazz to a new generation of listeners.
