Acclaimed pianist/composer/arranger Roberta Piket’s revelatory sextet project shines a warm, loving light on the compositions of legendary jazz pianist Marian McPartland. McPartland was eulogized in 2013 as a supremely elegant and accomplished jazz stylist who gracefully conversed and collaborated with a vast array of fellow improvisers from her perch as a beloved public radio host. Also on stage are Jay Brandford (flute, alto sax), Virginia Mayhew (clarinet, tenor sax), Bill Mobley (trumpet, flugelhorn), Harvie S (bass), Billy Mintz (drums), and special guest five-time Grammy nominated jazz vocalist Karrin Allyson.
