REBECCA KLEINMANN CD RELEASE PARTY “INTUIÇÃO VERDADEIRA” (TRUE INTUITION)

Flutist and vocalist Rebecca Kleinmann kicks off her CD release on October 26, 2018 at 8pm at the Sound Room: 2147 Broadway in Oakland’s uptown.

Recently returned from recording in Brazil and in Seattle with Latin Grammy nominated pianist Jovino Santo Neto, Kleinmann melds her rich inspiration from travels into her new album Intuição Verdadeira, which translates to “True Intuition”. Tickets are $20 with doors opening at 7:30pm.

Kleinmann’s Intuição Verdadeira is named for one of the three tunes on the album written for Rebecca by the legendary multi-instrumentalist Hermeto Pascoal. For this special release celebration, Rebecca performs flute & vocals and invites luminaries to perform in her band; guitarist Brian Moran, bassist Scott Thompson, percussionist Brian Rice, drummer Julien Cantelm and special guest guitarist Rafael Amarante.

ABOUT REBECCA KLEINMANN
Rebecca Kleinmann is an acclaimed flutist and vocalist with a twenty-year professional career marked by diversity and improvisation. An explorer at heart, she rockets and flows between genres, leading The Rebecca Kleinmann Jazz Quartet, performing with Brazilian Choro ensembles, and accompanying flamenco companies.

She has performed and recorded with great musicians world-wide including Jovino Santos Neto, Airto Moreira, Carlos Oliveira, Lionel Loueke, and living legend Hermeto Pascoal. She has recorded and performed extensively as a duo with guitarist Ian Faquini. Their alchemy together has been heralded by pianist Benny Green as “the balance of deep preparation with the unaffected abandon to go wherever the moment leads.”
