Pinecrest Gardens presents “Banyan Bowl Live” Featuring Jon Secada
Faced with canceling their all-star jazz series due to COVID-19, the village of Pinecrest, FL, has reimagined it as a livestream worldwide event and fundraiser for both Pinecrest Gardens and World Central Kitchen, a nonprofit founded by acclaimed international Chef José Andrés, feeding victims and medical personnel nationwide. The full series will feature Jon Secada, Arturo Sandoval, the John Pizzarelli Trio, the Glenn Miller Orchestra, Wycliffe Gordon, Grace Kelly, Joey Alexander, and Manhattan Transfer. Tickets are $15 each or $100 for the entire series and may be purchased at http://pinecrestgardens.org/jazzaid.
Adored by millions around the world, Jon Secada is recognized as an international superstar by both fans and peers alike for his soulful and melodic voice. His hits include “Angel,” “I’m Free,” and “Do You Believe in Us” and “If You Go.” Beyond his own music, Secada is widely recognized for his impeccable producing and songwriting skills. One of his first major breaks came from collaborating with Gloria Estefan in the late 1980s, which led to him co-writing her #1 single, “Coming Out of the Dark.” Since then, Secada has gone on to pen countless popular songs for superstars such as Jennifer Lopez and Ricky Martin.
M’s for tonight’s show are Tito Puente, Jr. and Cici Velasco.
