The Baltimore Chamber Jazz Society hosts a concert by the renowned jazz organist Pat Bianchi and his Quintet featuring Paul Bollenback. Currently Bianchi has the No. 2 jazz album in the United States. The album, In the Moment, features an array of special guests including Bollenback and Pat Martino, the late Kevin Mahogany, Joe Locke, Peter Bernstein, Byron Landham, and Carmen Intorre, Jr. A two-time Grammy nominee, Bianchi is the winner of DownBeat’s 2016 Rising Star poll. Since then he has established himself as one of the most sought-after organists on the scene today. His harmonic prowess, rhythmic intensity, and versatility on the instrument are unsurpassed.
Bianchi is accompanied by guitarist Paul Bollenback, trumpeter Alex Norris, saxophonist Adam Niewood, and drummer Carmen Intorre Jr., drums.
