Album release concert for <3 BIRD, saxophonist Kevin Sun’s ode to jazz giant Charlie Parker, whose centennial comes to a close on August 29, 2021. The album recasts bebop of the 1940s in a 2020s modernist vein and features new works inspired by the musical language of Bird.
