Folsom High School Jazz Combo

About

The Folsom High School jazz program has won many awards over the last 34 years. Some noteworthy winnings include the prestigious Monterey and Reno Jazz Festivals, not to mention a multitude of other well-known festivals over the years.

Notably, the Folsom Jazz Combo has performed at the Mingus Festival, received multiple awards from Downbeat and, in 2014, won the Monterey Jazz Festival.

Music Director Curtis Gaesser has been the California State Teacher of the Year and District Teacher of the Year twice. Gaesser is currently a finalist for the Grammy Music Educator Award.
