This big band is a 16-piece ensemble of jazz veterans and New York’s most dynamic young musicians. The big band has been featured at Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Rainbow Room, Ginny’s Supper Club in Harlem, The Django in TriBeca, Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night’s Swing, Caramoor Jazz Festival, SteelStacks, and the Perth International Arts Festival. Sherman, a native of New Jersey, is a drummer and leader who has toured the world in the bands of Wynton & Branford Marsalis, Ron Carter, Roy Hargrove, Cyrus Chestnut, The Dizzy Gillespie All-Stars and more.
