Australian-born saxophonist Troy Roberts’ NU-JIVE is the convening of five soulful beings and world-class musicians, who take the listener on a creative journey through the architecture of Troy’s original compositions. The music is an eclectic yet head-bopping concoction of soul, funk, R&B, and gospel music—all musically glued together by each member’s deep sense of jazz etiquette. This group of five best friends have been a steady recording and performing unit for the best part of 10 years. Be the first to lay ears on some of Roberts’ brand-new music, which is about to be recorded for their fourth release.
