Tipitina’s Foundation Hosts Boston Event to Benefit Music Education

New Orleans-themed event features Southern food, gifts and more

All proceeds from the Tipitina's Foundation event "From the Big Easy to the Back Bay" will go toward supporting music education

The Tipitina’s Foundation is bringing Southern comfort to New England with its upcoming “From the Big Easy to the Back Bay” event scheduled for Aug. 11 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Dillon’s Boston. All proceeds will go toward supporting music education in New Orleans and around the world.

The event includes the viewing of the Saints vs. Patriots pre-season game, as well as performances by Orlando Gilbert, Revon Andrews, Brian Richburg and Ian Kelly, Tipitina’s Foundation interns who are currently enrolled in Berklee College of Music’s five-week summer performance program. The evening will also feature New Orleans-inspired cocktails, beer and appetizers, and gifts from PJ’s Coffee of New Orleans and Defend New Orleans.

Tickets, which are $30 per person and will serve as a donation to the foundation, include two drink tickets for an Abita beer or a hurricane.

To RSVP and purchase tickets, visit the event website. Dillion’s Boston is located at 955 Boylston Street.
