The New York jazz club the Iridium and the Les Paul Foundation will honor the anniversary of Les Paul’s passing this year with free performances by the Les Paul Trio and special guests August 12 at 8 and 10 p.m. Tickets can be claimed at the Facebook pages for Iridium (Iridium) and the Les Paul Foundation (Les Paul Foundation) beginning tomorrow, July 30.
In addition, the Iridium will broadcast a never-before-seen tribute to Les Paul filmed live at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in 2009 on their Livestream Channel August 14 at 8 p.m. The concert features performances by Charlie Daniels, Steve Cropper, Zakk Wylde, Steve Miller, and more.
The club, where Paul performed every Monday night during the last years of his life, donates 20 percent of the door to the Les Paul Foundation, which seeks to honor his legacy by supporting music education, engineering and innovation.
