The sixth annual Tucson Jazz Festival has been scheduled for Jan. 10-20.
The 11-day Arizona jazz event, held in a variety of venues throughout Tucson, will feature a number of high-profile acts, including Mavis Staples, Christian McBride, Maceo Parker, Average White Band, David Sanborn, and the Afro-Cuban All Stars.
Other artists will include Allison Miller, Grace Kelly, Aubrey Logan, and Veronica Swift, who will perform with the University of Arizona studio jazz ensemble.
On Jan. 20, the festival will also present what it describes as a “downtown jazz fiesta,” which is free. There will be more than 20 bands and three outdoor stages as well as beer gardens, food trucks, and interactive experiences.
