Saxist Jimmy Greene’s Daughter Among Children Killed in CT Shooting

According to news reports emerging in the wake of today’s tragic mass shooting at a Connecticut elementary school, one of the deceased children was the daughter of jazz saxophonist and educator Jimmy Greene. Ana Marquez-Greene, 6, was in the first grade at Sandy Hook Elementary School. Greene’s other child, a boy named Isaiah, was unharmed.

We at JazzTimes extend our condolences to the Greene family and all others affected by this senseless, horrible tragedy.
