
The Playboy Jazz Festival, to be presented for the sixth year in a row by the Los Angeles Philharmonic, has announced its full lineup for 2019.
Featured acts will include Kool & the Gang, Boz Scaggs, Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, the Maceo Parker Big Band, Terence Blanchard, the Cookers, Angélique Kidjo, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Benny Golson, The Family Stone, Sheila E., Terrace Martin, and Sona Jobarteh.
There will also be a special celebration honoring the late drummer Ndugu Chancler, featuring Patrice Rushen, Ernie Watts, Alphonso Johnson, Terri Lyne Carrington, Doc Powell, Byron Miller, Rayford Griffin, Josie James, and TC Carson.
The festival, hosted by comedian George Lopez, will take place June 8-9 at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, Calif.
