Panasonic Automotive Systems Company of America and Blue Note Records have announced a joint venture in which the two companies will develop custom-branded audio systems and content for the global automotive market.

According to a press release, “The agreement provides the framework for the two leaders in their respective industries to work together to create customized audio systems, and provide exclusive Blue Note content for Panasonic’s automotive customers.”

Specifics regarding the nature of the collaboration were unavailable, but Blue Note president Don Was said, “We are excited to be working with such a creative partner that shares our passion of trying to bring our unique style of music to the widest possible audience. Our goal is to work together with Panasonic to develop products that will bring Blue Note’s emotion and authentic artistic appeal directly to new vehicle buyers.”
