One Good Turn, producer and Chiaroscuro Records owner Hank O’Neal’s 2002 compilation album supporting the Jazz Foundation of America (JFA)’s Musicians’ Emergency Fund, is being rereleased in a 20th-anniversary edition CD. In addition, a new One Good Turn T-shirt will be available from men’s clothier 32-Bar Blues.

As in 2002, 100 percent of the proceeds will go to the JFA’s Musicians’ Emergency Fund—an invaluable resource for many jazz musicians in the COVID era.

The album features a collection of rare tracks, favorites of O’Neal’s from the vaults of Chiaroscuro. They include tracks by Al Grey, Mary Lou Williams, Clark Terry, Dizzy Gillespie and Buddy Rich, and the title track as performed by Dave McKenna featuring Zoot Sims.

The 20th-anniversary issue of One Good Turn is a partnership venture between Chiaroscuro, JFA, and 32-Bar Blues. For more information or to purchase the CD and/or T-shirt, visit jazzfoundation.org or 32barblues.com.
