The winners of the second-annual Made In New York Jazz Competition have been announced, with winners of the 2014 competition coming from four continents. First prize was awarded to the Eden Rabin International Project, a collective of musicians from four countries that registered from Israel. Thana Alexa from the United States won second prize. Third place was awarded to the Jan Prax Quartet from Germany.
The competition was decided by a combination of votes from fans and a committee of judges including Randy Brecker, Lenny White, Joe Lovano and others. Prizes included cash gifts and musical instruments.
