KPLU Hosting Instrument Drive for Seattle Youth

Jazz radio station spearheads a drive to help get instruments into the hands of aspiring young musicians in the Seattle area

In support of Seattle’s JazzEd, KPLU is holding an instrument drive that started June 8th and will run until June 30th.

JazzEd is a non-profit organization geared towards providing jazz education and performance experience to students in the metropolitan Seattle area. They provide teachings for any student, regardless of the student’s prior access to instruments or their ability to pay. With the instruments obtained by the drive, a library of musical instruments will be made available, allowing students to check out instruments.

There are several locations where instruments can be dropped off. For more information on the instrument drive, please visit their website.
