Herb Alpert Catalog to Be Remastered, Reissued Worldwide

More than 25 albums re-released on Sept. 9

More than 25 Herb Alpert albums will be re-released worldwide Sept. 9

On Sept. 9, trumpeter Herb Alpert will re-release 24 classic albums on CD from throughout his renowned career, following the successful re-release of Whipped Cream & Other Delights and Christmas Album at the end of 2015. All releases, some of which have been out of print for several years, will be presented with their original artwork.

Each title, including four additional titles to be released on LP, will be remastered from the original analog tape mixes by Grammy-winning mixing engineer Bernie Grundman, the original mastering engineer on multiple Tijuana Brass and Alpert albums. Grundman also mastered and hand-cut the four vinyl re-releases using a specially designed lathe.

Yielding five No. 1 hits, nine Grammy Awards, 14 platinum and 15 gold albums, plus a staggering 72 million albums sold worldwide, Alpert has put out such memorable songs as “The Lonely Bull,” “Rise,” “A Taste of Honey” and “This Guy’s in Love With You,” either as a solo artist or with Tijuana Brass.

CD reissues include The Lonely Bull, Volume 2, South of the Border, Going Places!, What Now My Love, S.r.o., Sounds Like, Herb Alpert’s Ninth, The Beat of the Brass, Warm, The Brass Are Comin’, Summertime, You Smile, the Song Begins, Coney Island, Main Event Live (with Hugh Masekela), Rise, Beyond, Magic Man, Fandango, Keep Your Eye on Me, North on South St., Midnight Sun, Anything Goes and I Feel You.

LP reissues include South of the Border, What Now My Love, Going Places and Rise.
