Grace Kelly may be best known as a saxophonist and singer, but she’s clearly been working on her songwriting chops too. And with highly successful results: Her original composition “Feels Like Home” has just won Song of the Year in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. Check out a video of the song below.

Kelly’s song was selected to win the top prize by the John Lennon Songwriting Contest’s Executive Committee of Judges, which features a wide range of artists in multiple music styles, including Taylor Momsen, George Clinton, Prince Royce, Matthew Koma, American Authors, Switchfoot, Bootsy Collins, Kevin Bacon, and more.

For winning Song of the Year, Grace will receive $20,000 in cash, in addition to prizes from OWC (Other World Computing), Audio-Technica, Yamaha, Neutrik, Genelec, Disc Makers, Focusrite, and more.

A total of over $300,000 in cash awards and prizes will be distributed this year by the year-round John Lennon Songwriting Contest, which is open to both amateur and professional songwriters. Entry fees help support the nonprofit John Lennon Educational Tour Bus. Visit jlsc.com for more information about the contest.
