Ethan Iverson Joins NEC Jazz Studies Faculty

Bad Plus keyboardist will teach during 2016-17 academic year

New England Conservatory’s Jazz Studies Department has announced the hiring of pianist Ethan Iverson to join its jazz studio faculty beginning with the 2016-2017 academic year.

Iverson is best known for his work as one-third of The Bad Plus, along with bassist Reid Anderson and drummer David King.

NEC’s Jazz Studies Department was the first fully accredited jazz studies program at a music conservatory. The program currently has 95 students; 48 undergraduate and 47 graduate students from 13 countries.
